Zito & Zip founded the #MMEMBERVILLE hashtag in July 2018. It has since grown into an international community of over 31,000 members in more than 30 countries and continues to grow every day.
Zito and Zip grew up in the same neighborhood, in a township called Soweto.
We started an online media organization based on a virtual community called #Mmemberville. The Mmemberville hashtag was established on July 14th, 2018, although the foundation of the organization began on January 27, 2017.
It didn't take one magic moment to spark the growth that led to the creation of #Mmemberville. It was a series of events and numerous failed attempts. People need to know that we had to invest at least a whole year of just learning about the online space and in that same year we didn't even think we would create something as big as #Mmemberville
It began with us engaging with different stoners on a daily basis and once we gained influence then we started the Mmemberville hashtag. The goal at the time was to get the hashtag active 24/7 because our vision was to be global, so once we achieved that then we started gaining traction.
We started by evaluating the potential market the organization was planning to infiltrate. There is a gap of opportunity in the cannabis, hemp, THC and CBD industry globally. For example South Africa just legalized the home-use of recreational marijuana on September 18, 2018.
Our organization specializes in social media community engagement, content creation, digital marketing and advertising.
The reason why the organization is based on a hashtag is because it makes easier for consumers to find and engage with our products and services online. The organization is setup in a way that the #Mmemberville hashtag operates 24 hours 365 days in a year. Various business associates from across the world help with running the organization's day-to-day activities even though the co-founders are not present everyday.

Secondly when it comes to reaching an audience #Mmemberville focuses more on engagements rather than impressions...This enables us to pinpoint exactly what our customers and potential consumers need and we use that feedback to improve our services and products
